When we are faced with a challenge, most of us will fight it hard. This is the old thinking pattern which results in negativity. Here are some ways to modify the old thinking pattern and bring yourself into a positive thinking mode.

First, never let negative information bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, inform her that it is not your fault and then tell her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply ignore them. You might have to put some distance between you two, but it’s important that she is not able to contact you again.

Most individuals do not understand that the way you think is also the way that you act. If you start to get rid of the things in your life that are not worth you doing, you will begin to notice you have less stress. This is because you’re becoming a person who is organized, functional, and effective. When you think in those terms, you won’t be thinking about why you are not having as much fun at your job as you once did. Most security guard jobs require you to be on your feet all day long, sometimes for extended periods at a time. If possible, try to find a fantastic closet that enables you more space so you can change your outfit easily without getting up.
