First, never let negative advice bother you. If a security guard’s wife complains about being a night guard, tell her that it’s not your fault and then inform her that she should go talk to her husband about it. The security guard job is stressful enough without adding more stress to an already challenging situation. If a security guard’s boss makes some disparaging remarks about him, simply dismiss them. You might have to put some space between you two, but it is important that she’s not able to contact you again.

Most individuals do not realize that the way you think is also how you act. If you start to eliminate the things in your life which aren’t worth you doing, you will begin to notice that you have less anxiety. This is because you’re getting to be someone who is organized, practical, and efficient. When you think in these terms, you will not be thinking about why you are not having as much fun at your job as you did.
